Single-Use Event Basel 2026 brings together leaders, technical experts, and pioneering professionals who are driving advancements in single-use technologies. Speakers come from a diverse range of industries, including bioprocessing, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and life sciences, sharing invaluable insights into the latest developments, applications, and challenges of single-use solutions.
Misha Teale from Biotechnet's Biomanufacturing platform will give a talk on the latest white paper he has prepared as part of his work at the ZHAW and DECHEMA working group.
Abstract
The white paper prepared by the DECHEMA Working Group Single-Use Technologies for Bio-Based Applications presents a comprehensive overview of single-use technologies (SUTs) in the context of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) manufacturing, with a particular focus on CAR T, mesenchymal stem cell and induced pluripotent stem cell-based products. Building on lessons learned from monoclonal antibody production processes, it examines how SUTs, process analytical technologies, and quality-by-design principles can be leveraged to enable the scalable, efficient, and GMP-compliant manufacturing of autologous and allogeneic cell-based therapeutics.
