The Swiss Biorisk Alliance connects key players and brings together the competencies needed to protect society from biological risks from infectious diseases. Operating through a comprehensive "One Health" approach, the Alliance is active across the pillars of prevention, detection, and management.
Founded in 2023 as an association based in Bern, the Swiss Biorisk Alliance has become a Swiss-wide network consisting of a diverse range of public institutions, private companies, non-profit organizations, and authorities. These members and collaboration partners cover a broad spectrum of competencies and perspectives.
Current thematic focus areas are “Detection” and “Prevention.” With a particular focus on diagnostics, surveillance, and vaccines, the Alliance explores ways to strengthen research, innovation, production, and logistics, while fostering collaboration and coordination across disciplines and sectors.
