Biotechnet and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Arts were pleased to welcome about 100 students and professors to Wädenswil for the 18th edition of the Summer School on Advanced Biotechnology.
Held from Sept 1 to 4, 2024, the event brought together students and lecturers from the ZHAW Institute for Chemistry and Biotechnology, the FHNW School of Life Sciences, the HES-SO Institute for Life Technologies and HEPIA, the University of Bern Biomedical Research Department, the University of Zürich Institute for Medical Microbiology, ETH Zürich, the University of Basel, MCI the Entrepreneurial School, the Ulysseus European Universities group, the University of Palermo, and the University of Genua. Highlights included:
- Over 40 talks on a broad range of biotech topics spanning health, food, energy and environment
- 10 student pitches on either a research project or a biotech company
- 3 presentations about career paths and job opportunities in industry
- A beautiful setting near the shores of Lake Zürich with plenty of opportunities for networking and socializing
