    Session Highlights

    • As a strong start into the day, Arnd Lülsdorf and Dr. Yin Cai reviewed the very recent developments in artificial intelligence made at their respective company, Google and AWS.
    • In addition to a deep dive into the work performed by Foundation medicine (by Dr. Thomas Wieland), Dr. Noushin Hadadi (Novigenix) and Dr. Jens Kelm (Precomb) provided further insights into the role of data science in precision medicine.
    • During the day, a collective intelligence session led by Dr. Andres Lanzos (TrueYouOmics) allowed for fruitful exchanges between experts and participants.
    • Further timely topics were discussed, including the analysis of protein-protein interaction (Dr. Damian Szklarczyk, UZH and SIB), single-cell analysis (Dr. Sukalp Muzumdar, Scailyte) and automated report generation (Claudio Molina, Celerato).
    • Finally, Prof. Henning Müller (HES-SO Valais-Wallis) shared recent advances made in the field of image analysis, reviewing several recent and on-going large-scale projects in histopathology.
