Biography
Andreas Meier (born 1962) is a Member of the Swiss National Council for the Centre Party (Die Mitte) and lives in Klingnau (Aargau).
He serves on the Committees for Science, Education and Culture (WBK) and for Oversight (GPK), and is Co-President of the Parliamentary Group “Genuss und Verantwortung” (Culinary Enjoyment & Responsibility). In addition, he is President of CarnaLibertas and ProWiBa, a board member of SFATA, a trustee of Gen Suisse, a member of the Board of Directors of the Hightech Center Aargau, and a member of Biotechnet Switzerland's advisory board. Previously, he was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau.
Professionally, he is a wine entrepreneur: he manages the Weingut zum Sternen and the Rebschule Meier AG and is co-owner of several wine companies.
