The Faculty of Biomedical Sciences of USI Università della Svizzera italiana was established in 2014 with the main purpose to make a contribution towards the solution of an important national problem: the dearth of physicians trained in Switzerland. The Faculty is headed by Dean, Prof. Dr. med. Giovanni Pedrazzini.
